The extraordinary ski
was created by the genius
of a technician who was afraid
that the old art of the hand made
skis would be forever lost.
So he decided to dedicate his work
to the recuperation of the exceptional artisan’s techniques
from his extraordinary region in the mountains, helped and guided
by former expert artisans, and by professional skiers.
He began the production
of this exclusive and extraordinary
ski that has left a prestigious
and indelible mark in the history
of the ski.
So was created the Styibwë,
an incredible object, totally hand made.
During the 9 hours of work,
are included 9 hours of, from the heart wisdom, in which the expert artisan ‘teaches’ the wood how to ski.
There are 100 unique, numbered, signatured pieces in this
hand made product.
The soul of the wood used in
the ski is constructed by laminated
borders made of ash tree wood,
found in the forests of Haute Savoia surrounding the artisan’s laboratories.
Each wood laminate is one unique
piece without any faults.
The top sheet is made of rosewood laminate with titanium inserts which improve stability on turns.
The sole of the ski is in PTEX 4000
with corners made of the prestigious Tréfilerie des Vosges.
Styibwë skies are made to order only, with ski Attachments by Vist Titanal Premium.
The newest model will be presented
in a world premier with the exclusive Styibwë Tracker System.
This is a system of geolocalization
which permits the skier to see again
at home all the kilometers he skied
that day in a 3D system
which memorizes the distance,
runs, levels and speeds.
